Based on our analysis, here are three things you need to confidently start building on OpenAI Apps SDK now.

1. Daily workflow that's faster through conversation

Examples:

• Booking appointments (healthcare scheduling, restaurant reservations)

Can you guarantee app placement or surfacing?‍

What if OpenAI changes the Apps SDK?‍

They will but MCP means you're not locked in. When Claude, Gemini, Microsoft launch apps, you deploy immediately.
