e-catch is an auctions-based market survey site.
By using the mechanism of auctions, the service provides users with information on what price customers are willing to pay for certain products. The users of e-catch can also buy items related to those put on auctions at a reduced price, although the main focus of this project is to research the market.
The biggest challenge for Dealini was a limited timeframe. They reached out to us with the hope that we could deliver a complete product from scratch and go live in just over one month. From the technical side, we had to ensure that the auctions are safe against concurrent bidding. For example, we had to make sure there is always one winner even if someone used bots to bid in the last second.
STX Next provided Dealini with a full development team consisting of backend and frontend devs, a QA tester and a Product Owner. Thanks to close daily collaboration and thorough documentation provided by the client, STX Next’s team could start working at full capacity from day 1. The program features implemented by STX Next include a responsive, mobile-ready single page web application; bidding on auctions; buying related products; and email notifications.
