TBSeen is a unique start-up case. Due to celebrities bringing in followers that immediately converted to sales, the site is making money from day one. The problem was scaling up: with a London agency of just a few devs, TBSeen could not keep up with the pace of their business growth. The need to scale rapidly and within budget brought TBseen and STX Next together.
The cooperation began with Discovery workshops on-site carried out with TBSeen. Over a week of story mapping, we worked out where the product can proceed after its successful launch. (And yes, Kate Thornton was there too!) We built a development team right after the workshops, taking over from TBSeen’s previous London agency. Over time, TBSeen has become a true partner of STX Next, trusting us to analyze business KPIs and make independent decisions on how to maximize outputs and effects.
We were looking to move our Python & Django development out of London, to save money but also to find a good quality Agile team approach that included some product ownership. STX Next was able to provide the high quality dev team alongside project management. This fact combined with the costs savings from moving away from London made it a simple decision.
The most challenging part of the project was the wide variety of used technologies and highly distributed architecture designed to give our client the best possible scalability to prepare the site for heavy traffic. Responding to client’s needs was very challenging and satisfying from the developer’s perspective.
